You can use Inventory Alert feature to notify you when the stock level goes below the threshold. In the Inventory page, there is a button “Alert” which lists you all the alerts and provide you an easy way – one click – to create PO for these items.

You can set alert globally for all the items. You can also set an alert for each item. If you set both then threshold for each item will be used for alerting.

To set up the inventory threshold globally:

  • Click on Setting
  • Click on “Global inventory alert quantity threshold“
  • Set the global threshold value at “Global Inventory Alert Qty“. If the stock level goes below this value then you will get an alert

You can also configure the threshold for each item level in the Inventory. To do so, you can edit an existing item and provide the following information for item configurations:

  • Go to the inventory page
  • Click on “edit” for an item
  • Set the threshold at the field “Alert Qty Falls Below“
  • If you set “reorder qty“, it will automatically add this qty when you create a PO from the alert
