If you have a large quote or invoice, many times mistakenly you may put quantity as 0 – especially for labor or shipping cost. If the quantity is 0 for a line item then, Datamoto will calculate the line total as 0 (formula: line total = unit cost X quantity). This will make your quote or invoice inaccurate. To catch this type of user error, Datamoto has introduced a configuration that will make Datamoto not save the quote or invoice if the quantity is 0. To set this configuration:

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Click on “Tax in invoice and item code in SO and PO”
  3. Check the checkbox for “Quantity for an item cannot be 0”

With this setting, Datamoto will not let you save (and alert you) if your quote and invoice have quantity for any line item as 0.
